Alliant Energy FoundationThe Alliant Energy Foundation is an independent, non-profit philanthropic corporation funded by Alliant Energy shareowners. The Foundations's board of directors is comprised of representatives from across Alliant Energy's utility service area and funding decisions are considered on both a local and regional basis. Endow IowaEndow Iowa was created to enhance the quality of life for the citizens of Iowa through increased philanthropic activity by encouraging new investments to existing community foundations and facilitating the creation of new community foundations. The program includes two components: 1) tax credits to donors and 2) grants to newly formed community foundations (or affiliates). Foundation CenterThe Foundation Center's mission is to strengthen the nonprofit sector by advancing knowledge about U.S. philanthropy. The Foundation Center helps grantseekers, grantmakers, researchers, policymakers, media and the general public better understand the field of philanthropy. Minnesota Council on FoundationsMinnesota Council on Foundations, a community of grant makers, works to strengthen and expand philanthropy and improve the vitality and health of our communities. The Council is a regional membership association of family and private foundations, community and other public foundations and corporate foundations and giving programs. Southern Minnesota Initiative FoundationThe Southern Minnesota Initiative Foundation has played a key role in building stronger communities and businesses in 20 southern Minnesota counties served. The Foundation's work includes a combination of financial resources (grants and loans), management and technical assistance, convening and programming. Southwest Initiative FoundationThe mission of the Southwest Initiative Foundation is to be a catalyst, facilitating opportunities for economic, social and cultural growth by promoting philanthropy, leadership, innovation and collaboration for an 18-county region in southwest Minnesota. |
